6.30 p.m. for 7 p.m. Wine & Tapas Dinner
$85.00 per person
Although still suffering COVID disruptions, we could not let the year go by without our annual wine dinner. No pretensions just excellent wines, great food and a friendly, relaxed atmosphere. Make up your own table of 8 or just come along and join old friends for a great night.
This year we feature one of Andrew’s favourite Great Southern wineries and if that is not enough to get you over the line, how about the fact that it has just been shortlisted as a
Dark Horse Winery of the Year finalist for the 2022 edition of Halliday’s Wine Companion!
Kim Tyrer is the CEO and Winemaker at Galafrey Wines and she will be our guest presenter. Kim is an only child and stepped into her father’s role in the family business at 25 when he passed away in 2003. Since then, Kim has shown strong leadership skills, sat on many Boards and is currently working her way up the wine judging circuit. Kim is proud that Galafrey continues to be a strong and well-respected brand in the WA wine industry and that it is now receiving national recognition through Halliday.
Citrons Catering will again provide our food. Doug and Kerryn’s culinary efforts are outstanding and always complement the wines wonderfully. We are delighted to reveal the menu for the evening on the last page.
Vegetarian and GF Menu options available by prior order.
We do not know if COVID restrictions on attendee numbers will apply in August so be quick to book and pay for your places. If we are locked down and cannot re-schedule the dinner to a date that works for you, your payment will be refunded in full. Payment in advance is essential.

If you are paying direct to our bank account, please remember to add your name to the payment narration or pass a copy of the transaction details to Andrew at andrew@aras.net.au or by SMS to 0417 927 034.
Alternatively, you may pay by cheque or credit/debit card. Please contact Andrew by phone or email if you wish to do that.
Footnote: Galafrey’s old vines are not irrigated; something quite unusual in these days of mass commercial production. The resulting smaller fruit fosters an intensity of flavour and the characteristically cool climate of Mt Barker also ensures slow ripening of the grapes to develop rich flavour and quality grape juice. Galafrey currently cultivates Chardonnay, Riesling, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Cabernet Franc, Pinot Noir, Merlot and Muller-Thurgau. Muller-Thurgau is a unique white grape variety that produces a light, flavourful, fruity wine that is low in acid.
You will be able to order the featured Galafrey wines at the end of the evening at a discount on cellar door prices.
